Starting a private practice and running a practice is exciting and intimidating. We all start a private practice for different reasons. Sometimes we want to get away from agency work where we are told who to see, when to work and what meetings to attend, or we want to see a few people, but still be at home with the littles. Whatever the reason you want to do private practice we are here to support you. We want clinicians to be successful and help as many people as they can. We have a huge shortage of clinicians and we need to support each other.

Private practice has changed over the years and there are a lot more “hoops” than there used to be. There is the business side, HIPAA compliance, website compliance, credentials, insurance and the list goes on. Then there’s the marketing. Where do you start? It’s not as easy as it looks. It can be very exhilarating to dive into the process, but it can quickly feel overwhelming.

Some of the more common worries include:

 “How do I find clients?”

“Will I be able to make enough money?”

“Who do I ask when you have a legal or ethical question?”

“Who do I talk to when I need a different perspective or direction?”

“How do I hold myself accountable for those pesky notes I don’t like to do?”

These are all valid concerns, but they don’t have to hold you back.

I started my practice several years ago and I’ve learned a lot through trial and error. I was lucky enough to work with some amazing clinicians who taught me how to run a private practice. I also learned some things not to do. I created this private practice collective to help you make an easy transition into a successful private practice. This is your practice, I simply facilitate and offer consultation/coaching to help you be successful. I’ve organized the website and marketing, found a great practice management system (that has healthcare zoom), set up a client onboarding process, provide monthly case share, and offer a “catch up notes” program. I also have resources/contacts for legal advice, bookkeeping, accounting, virtual assistants, insurance credentialing and billers.

You create your own profile page on the website, set up your schedule in the practice management system and get ready to start seeing clients. It is that easy. I want to help you develop the practice you’ve always wanted and start finding your ideal clients

Maybe you are new to private practice or maybe you are struggling to manage your private practice and can’t figure out how to do everything and keep up with clients.

Being a private practitioner is an amazing adventure, but you don’t have to do it alone. Join us and lets all work together to provide the needed therapy so many people are looking for.
